Assistant Master Electrician

Hartford Stage seeks clever, resourceful, committed individual for its electrics department. We require a team player with outstanding problem-solving abilities, and communication. Duties include assisting Master Electrician in implementing, hanging and focusing light plots, including crew supervision, and maintaining lighting equipment. Subscriptions Manager

Hartford Stage seeks an experienced individual to oversee all aspects of the subscription office. The ideal candidate for this position should excel in patron relations, possess strong administrative and organizational skills and have excellent interpersonal skills. Essential position responsibilities include: day to day operations of all aspects of the subscription processing to offer the highest level of customer service possible, subscription reporting and marketing analysis, and developing new recognition and cultivation events. The candidate must be a self-motivated, independent thinker with the ability to lead others. College degree (4 years or higher), experience with computer box office software (The Patron Edge) and subscription experience preferred. Full time position, evening and weekend work required. Auditions for Child Actors for To Kill a Mockingbird

Hartford Stage and Westport Country Playhouse to Audition Child Actors for To Kill a Mockingbird What: Hartford Stage and Westport Country Playhouse will hold auditions for child actors for the theatres' upcoming co-production of To Kill a Mockingbird. Rehearsals begin in Hartford January 20, 2009, with performance dates from February 19 through April 5. The production will then transfer to Westport Country Playhouse. Rehearsals begin in Westport April 7 with performances dates from April 21 through May 10 and a possible extension through May 17. Three Caucasian boys and one Caucasian girl, all between 9 and 15 years old, will be cast for the production. Roles being cast: · Jem: (boy) a budding athlete, protective · Dill: (boy) socially awkward, oddball, mischievous · Scout: (girl) tomboyish, tough cookie, inquisitive · Walter Jr.: (boy) poor, uneducated, prideful When: Auditions will be on Monday, December 8 and Tuesday, December 9 from 3:00 - 6:00 p.m. Where/How: Auditions are by appointment only, and there are a limited number of appointments available.
